Dr. Cheng’s basic science and translational research interests are bladder tissue engineering and urologic tissue reconstruction. In collaboration with the Sharma research group, projects apply aspects of bioengineering and stem cell biology to address congenital anomalies and disease states in urologic tissues, with recent efforts focusing on neurogenic bladder and hypospadias.
