SQI remembers Lou Simpson

We were deeply saddened to learn of Lou Simpson’s death on January 8. Lou was a great supporter of SQI and of biomedical sciences research along with his wife, Kimberly Querrey. Their transformative gifts created an endowment for the Institute that enabled us to pursue high-risk, high-reward research in regenerative nanomedicine, and their generosity has extended to many other educational and scientific initiatives at Northwestern University. We will miss Lou’s brilliant insights, good sense of humor, and caring spirit, and remain extremely grateful for his support over the years. Our condolences go out to all of Lou’s family and friends.
